Here at Applewood Our House Assisted Living Memory Care, the engagement with our residents never stops!
We are doing crafts like coloring, window painting, and painting rocks! Games like playing with bubbles ball toss, and bean bag toss. Listening to music, I mean who could pass up a good dance party! And even some chores, only if they want to help and are able! They can feel helpful again by sorting the warm clean laundry, loading a little bit of the dishwasher, or cleaning a pot or two!
We find keeping our residents engaged is all about them and what they are interested in. These fun simple activities are keeping them both active and keeps their mind engaged.
