According to the American Medical Association, physicians do not receive much training on providing care for Alzheimer’s, dementia, hospice, and other dying patients. Alters the Mood – Music can help change the mood of an Alzheimer’s patient, the same way it does a healthy person. It has been shown that various forms of music have different effects on the brain. For example, if your loved one likes to listen to classical music, it can help them relax. If the care patient enjoys faster paced music, such as Salsa, it could make them more energetic.
The decisive part is to choose the right music for the situation and for the patient. If they don’t like a certain type of music or if some music upsets them, it’s best to avoid that music in the future.
