“I just wanted to send a quick email to thank you all for taking in my dad when you did. We were in a really dire situation and you all made it seem so easy. I don’t think any of us thought my dad would only be there a couple weeks but I am so thankful his final couple weeks were great and he was in a comforting, warm place. I truly think he was finally able to relax. His old facility treated him as a burden and I think he picked up on that. You all set him at ease and showed him so much love and patience. I will be forever thankful for you all. You are truly wonderful people. Thank you for treating my dad with respect and love. Dolly did not leave my dad’s door after his passing.

It is with sincere gratitude that I write this letter to you all. My stepfather Frank Walter has been in my life for a long time – I liked him instantly. He was caring and thoughtful – interested and interesting. He had a special grace and dignity that is fast becoming extinct.
Thank you all for taking care of him, when he could no longer do for himself.
You are a very special group of people – caregivers – and much needed in this world.

Hello Everyone,
I want to extend my appreciation for everything you did for Mike while he was in your care. I am grateful that we were able to find a place for Mike where he was treated as an individual by kind and caring people. I, too, appreciate all of your help in dealing with the insurance company and indulging me with concerns I brought to you.

Road map for success: What’s next for high elevation research?
Walter, just a few days shy of his 97th birthday on Oct. 1, was in the living room of an assisted living center called Applewood Our House in Golden. It is billed as an 24/7 assisted living and memory care facility for seniors, but is more of a cozy ranch-style home for people who were forced to leave their own homes, when nobody capable was left to tend to their critical physical and mental needs. These are people who lost the chance to age in place….

You and your staff were so wonderful to my mom and I count it as a great blessing that she was loved and cared for by all of you during her last year and a half on earth. I just wanted to give a big shout out to Melissa. She truly makes a difference in my dad ( Dr. Bob’s ) life . She is kind and loving and there for him . You can see the compassion in her eyes and we so appreciate it.

Hey all,
I just wanted to write you and let you know how much I appreciate Becky. My Mom, Dottie Kranzler is in House 5, and since my Dad passed she has been struggling with grief and has become agitated. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate Becky approaches her to get her involved in something to help distract and keep her busy. Which is what my mom needs. Whether it is gardening, sittercise, or even just getting her over to the puzzle table to work on a puzzle, she really is wonderful with my Mom and the other residents there.
I have been able to go on a couple of outings, and I am so impressed with how kind and caring she is with everyone, staff and residents alike. When she talks to residents, she will meet them just where they are in the moment, and has definitely gotten to know each resident and formed a bond with them. This is evident when they get sidetracked or emotional, she knows exactly what to say to each person to help the situation, she really individualizes the message.
I just wanted to let you all know how lucky I feel that Becky is a part of the staff.

Thanks you for the photos and the video, something that I will value for a long time. Donna was lucky to arrive at Upham Applewood, and to my amazement, she fit right in, thanks for the welcoming feel of that house and all the staff there.
