Upham welcomed my wife Donna for about 6 months until her passing in May this year. My lovely Donna fit right in the minute she arrived there in December, and thanks to the dedication and kindness of the staff, was always happy, singing, dancing and enjoying herself. She was at home, and that was the best that can happen to her.
Thanks you all, you made our lives easy and happy until the end.
My wife Donna was diagnosed with Alzheimer in 2016, and she had to be transferred to a memory care unit in December of 2019. I was there when she arrived, and she immediately fit in, and was happy with the house and extremely happy with the staff's dedication to her care. All nurses and caregivers gave her happiness for the rest of her life. She was always a happy person, and she was happy there until her death in May of 2019.
I am grateful to the staff who patiently took care of her and lessened my pain of seen her slowly decline.
My mom passed away two years ago. She spent a few months at Applewood Our House in Lakewood. The staff was so kind and compassionate and found so much good in life with my mom and other residents there. They were warm and welcoming and helped me through a difficult transition! God bless all that take care of the elderly and especially those that were there for my mom when I couldn’t be. 😘
My husband lives there. I know he gets the best treatment available. The Manager, Barbara is excellent.

Sonja is the best and this is the best care facility ever! Every time I visited the staff was so helpful and friendly. They treat their residents with so much respect, compassion and love. Its outstanding.
